What does Edisun Engineering mean by "digital twin"?
For us, a digital twin is a data-based, dynamic model of a real building or technical system. It is continuously fed with sensor data and serves simulation, monitoring, and optimization – not as a mere 3D visualization.
2
Do the mentioned material innovations apply to every project?
No. The suitability of recycled steel or carbon fiber reinforced concrete depends on static requirements, environmental conditions, and applicable standards. We examine each case individually and do not give blanket recommendations.
3
How do you define "autonomous drone inspection"?
Autonomous drone inspection means that an AI-controlled system independently plans flight routes, collects data, and performs initial evaluations. The final assessment always remains with an authorized engineer – the drone does not replace a human expert examination.
4
What liability do you assume for simulation results?
Our simulations serve to prepare decisions. They do not replace static verifications or official approvals. We assume no liability for the specific application of the results in construction or approval procedures, unless a separate agreement has been made.
5
What does "sustainable" mean in your project descriptions?
For us, "sustainable" refers to the entire life cycle: material selection, energy consumption, maintenance effort, and deconstructability. We only use the term if the measure demonstrably improves at least one of these dimensions – without greenwashing.
